Black Caesar- a classic blaxploitation film from 1973 is about a black mob boss ruling the streets of NYC. James Brown (yes, the godfather of soul) and Fred Wesley produced the original soundtrack that is a stellar album in its own right. Look out for the film on late night cable movie channels or netflix it ASAP. Here's the trailer.
