Stars Like Fleas:Large Brooklyn band making indie rock, at times lovely and slightly discordant. Headed to SXSW in March.
Crystal Stilts: Garage rock, post punk. Think Iggy Pop.
Cut Copy Ohh me likes! Very catchy pop. I could see these songs in Juno-esque movie soundtracks.
Antony and the Johnsons - Experimental folk rock. Reminds me a little of a mix of Leonard Cohen and Elliot Smith.
Animal Collective
Sigur Ros
Silje Nes: From Norway! Folksy tunes, could see drawing large crowds of hipsters at any festival. Goes perfect with a bottle of red wine in Winter. A favorite "Bright Night Morning"
Red Krayola: "progressive" indie rock. I like the lead singer's voice. (Reminds me of The Hold Steady) Like the song "when she went swimming."
Lonely Dear: Folk, jazz. From Sweden. Great beats to listen to on the LIRR or subway. Good train and traveling music.

Sven Van Thom Haha German pop, folk, acoustic is how his myspace page describes Thom. But it's German so there's an obvious electronic sound to it (and random yelling) too. Anyone sprechen de german?"Back to the Well" tour.

Frida Hyvonen: Swedish singer's album "Silence is Wild" gets good reviews on Pitchfork Media. Her songs are called dark and sexy and beautiful.
O'Death: Folk/Metal (cause that goes together)Makes me want to drink whiskey and jump around. Definitely like some of the fiddle.
